How to Take a 10 Minute Vacation

Hi, I'm Holly Atkins. Professional Chill-er Out-er. It's not something that happened overnight. It happened out of necessity. I still have a little way to go in my recovery, so I can't share my story yet, but it has a lot similarities to what my friend Astra Rebecca describes here. Let's just say I was Quarantining and wearing masks before it was cool! Haha, what a hipster I was, huh? The DNRS program has given me my life back and I will be forever grateful.



I have a relaxing storytime podcast called HappyChillFunTime that's all about maxin' relaxin'. I say it's 50% story time, 50% meditation, 100% chill AF.

I started it in the early days of Le Pan (what I've renamed the pandemic) as a way to focus on the positive and look for silver linings. I wanted to put some good out into the world, help calm some nervous systems, and give people a tiny vacation- even if it only lasted 10 or 20 minutes. I needed to do it for myself just as much as for others. People work from home (WFH), maybe this could be TFH (travel from home)!


Recently on the podcast, we went to a French flower market and snacked on warm, fresh baked baguettes with sweet homemade preserves. Another day, we sat in the golden sun and enjoyed our magical mountain garden with it's fresh, fragrant herbs and vibrantly verdant surroundings. A particularly popular trip we took included a gently cooling nestle in soft, powdery snow, while delicate snowflakes caressed our cheeks.



I feel incredibly honored to host these calming vacations and I've gotten the most wonderful messages from listeners who go on them with me. Things listeners write like, "I was transported" and "It's helping me feel again" warm my heart and help me know I'm on the right track. After years of searching, both for my purpose and for healing, I know now, that I'm creating something that is truly making a difference. I also like to think of myself as a Joy Bringer by nature, so I guess that makes me a Professional "Joy Bringer & Chill-er Out-er", and you know what? I love it!


I hope to grow HappyChillFunTime into more than just a podcast. I want to create an entire mood boosting platform for you, and it's already in the works! I want to empower, democratize good feels and remind everyone that WE HAVE A CHOICE. Every moment of every day, we have the power to decide how we want to live, how we look at life and who we want to be. If you're a Retrainer, you already know the incredible power and possibilities neuroplasticity offers, so lets dream! Come with me into a spiral of POSITIVE What Ifs! What if we travel to Paris and breathe in the indescribable natural perfume of a thousand blooms? What if we find the most peaceful, refreshing sleep of our lives in the most comfortable bed of all time, while the silvery stars in the velvety night twinkle above us? What if we are COMPLETELY HEALTHY? WHAT IF WE FEEL GOOD ALL THE TIME? It feels SO good to feel good and IT IS POSSIBLE!
